MASTERS MEN'S CHOIR

Men’s Advanced Level (11th Grade to Adult)

Focus: Masters Men’s Choir is an auditioned, changed-voice ensemble for collegiate and career men. High school juniors and seniors with excellent vocal and leadership abilities are also eligible to audition for membership in MMC.

This ensemble performs its own repertoire for advanced tenors and basses and may sing with the trebles to provide lower voice parts for mixed choral music. Auditions are open to all Phoenix Boys Choir alumni and changed-voiced men from the community.

Rehearsals: Monday evenings from 7-9pm

Concerts: 6-7 performances a season (Aug-May)

Optional Tour: Participate in an international or domestic summer tour of 1-2 weeks (June)

Our Artistic Director, Herbert Washington, places choristers based on their vocal development, including pitch and tonal memory, as well as sight-reading ability, music theory knowledge, poise and maturity.

If your child has an interest in music or a gift that you recognize, take the next step by scheduling an audition and free voice lesson with one of our directors. Some of our most gifted choristers were reluctant to sing until we helped them discover their true voice.
